Fire department takes part in national show of unity

The Buffalo Center Fire Department joined their fellow departments from across the country in a show of unity last week, as they brought out the trucks for a cruise around town on Wednesday evening. The event was held as a sign of strength, togetherness, and hope in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis – hope for all those who provide essential services including hospital workers, EMS, fire departments, and law enforcement. They’re also thinking of all the people working in the food and grocery industry to keep people fed, as well as those in the transportation industry who keep everything moving. The firemen invited residents to on their lights – particularly red, white or blue lights – and also put out a red, white or blue ribbon to show support for those working in emergency or medical services.
