Fire department gets $1,000 for new truck

The Buffalo Center Fire Department has another $1,000 to put toward a new pumper truck, thanks to the efforts of Jim Hofbauer, DeWayne Maass, and EDF Renewable Energy. Jim and DeWayne recently helped out EDF by setting up the Heritage Town Center for a meeting the company had scheduled there. EDF offered to compensate them or to make a donation to a local organization, and Jim and DeWayne both decided they’d like to see the local fire department benefit instead. EDF wrote the $1,000 check to the fire department, which Jim and DeWayne presented last week.
