Eight candidates seek fair queen title

     The 2017 Winnebago County Fair kicks off this Thursday in Thompson, and one of the highlights of the opening day is the coronation of a new Fair Queen. Eight candidates are in the running this year, and judging was held last Saturday afternoon at Bethany Lutheran Church. The winner will be revealed during the coronation ceremony on Thursday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the grandstand.

     Candidates this year include Katelin Adams, Morgan Boehm, Abbey Bray, Rachel Holst, Hannah Main, Nadalyn Myer, Sarah Nordskog and Sidney Walton.
