Dollar General plans to open next week

Dollar General is now hiring for its newly built store in Buffalo Center and plans to open for business yet this month.

Michael Williams, District Manager for Dollar General, says they’ll be installing the shelves in the store this week and then stocking the merchandise, with the hope of opening for business next Wednesday or Thursday.

Williams says the store will employ seven or eight workers. Full-time staff is already in place, and they are looking to hire three to four more part-time workers.

Williams says shoppers will find name brand products for a good price at Dollar General, and he thinks people will like the convenience of finding all sorts of different products under one roof in Buffalo Center. The wide range of merchandise offered at the store will include things such as food, health and beauty products, cleaning supplies, paper products, automotive products, pet food and supplies, and apparel. Williams says the approximately 7,300 sq. ft. store in Buffalo Center will be comparable to the Dollar General store in Lake Mills.

Dollar General plans to hold a Grand Opening for the Buffalo Center store in the first part of March.
