Daffodil Days fundraiser kicks off

     Daffodil Days volunteers are gearing up for spring, as they will be taking orders this month for the annual fundraiser to aid cancer research. Bunches of 10 daffodils are on sale for $10, and all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Winnebago County.

     Members of the National Honor Society at North Iowa High School are assisting with the effort by calling local residents to take their orders. People can also place orders by calling Betsy Goetz at 562-2500, Eleanor Murray at 562-2337 or Julie Olson at 584-2275. Orders are due by Wednesday, Feb. 28, and checks can be made payable to Winnebago County Daffodils.

     Daffodils will arrive for pick up on Friday, Mar. 23, and will be available at North Iowa Community School from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. and at Titonka Savings Bank in Thompson from 2-5 p.m. There will also be extra daffodils for people to purchase that day.
