Boys battle through another week of losses

     The North Iowa Bison dropped a pair of conference matches last week, beginning with a rematch against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura in Garner on Tuesday, Jan. 12. The Cardinals led in all four quarters as they defeated the Bison, 54-22.

     Austin Haisman had the high mark for North Iowa with eight points, followed by Steven Milbrandt with six and Drew Jensen and Hunter Gelhaus with four points each. Josiah Beenken, Isaiah Walk and Gelhaus each had three rebounds, and Jensen had three assists.

     The Bison hosted North Union on Friday, Jan. 15 in Buffalo Center, as they doubled their score from their first meeting with the Warriors but ended the match with a deficit, 62-40.

     Haisman was the high scorer for the Bison once again with nine points, followed by Jensen and Milbrandt with six points each. Jensen led in rebounds with seven, and Haisman had four assists.
