Boosters raise thousands to improve school facilities

The North Iowa Athletic Boosters and Bison Charities made a pair of big donations to the North Iowa School District during the opening game of the football season on Friday, Aug. 29.

The Boosters and Bison Charities presented a check in the amount of $35,000 to go toward the cost of resurfacing the track at Bison Field, which was completed this summer. This donation includes money raised over the years from sponsors of events at North Iowa track meets.

The Athletic Boosters also made a separate $10,000 donation to the school toward the cost of fitness equipment for the Wellness Center, which opened earlier this year.

“We are fortunate to have the continued support of the North Iowa Booster Club and appreciate their financial contributions that help ensure our students quality facilities and extracurricular opportunities,” said North Iowa Supt. Cory Myer. “These generous donations are a great example of what can be accomplished when a group of people work together for a good cause. There is a lot of time, hard work, and financial commitment that goes into raising these funds, and for those efforts, we are truly grateful.”
