Bison pick up steam with 3-1 week

The North Iowa Bison had a great week on the baseball diamond last week, as they won three back-to-back games.

The week started off on a low note, as the Bison fell to West Fork on Monday, June 3 in Buffalo Center by a score of 0-11. North Iowa had four hits in the contest, with singles from Kade Hobbs, Max Schaefer, Hunter Meinders, and Jacob Hofmann. Hofmann pitched three innings in the loss, as he struck out two batters while giving up four hits and one earned run.

The next night on Tuesday, the Bison hosted West Bend-Mallard. North Iowa trailed until the fifth inning, when the Bison scored three runs to tie it up, 5-5. They scored two more runs in the sixth while the Wolverines scored one, resulting in North Iowa’s second win of the season, 7-6.
