Berschman competes at State bowling meet

North Iowa junior Jenna Berschman competed in the Class 1A State Bowling Meet in Des Moines this Monday, after qualifying as an individual during the sub state meet in Charles City on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Berschman led the Lady Bison at sub state with a 400 series, including games of 201 and 199, which qualified her for an at-large spot at State.

Bowling at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines on Monday morning, Berschman placed 27th out of 51 participants in the 1A girls’ meet, as she rolled games of 154 and 176 for a 330 series.

“Another meet and another oil pattern. Two games go by so fast, and by the time Jenna got past the nerves and figured out the oil pattern, the game was over,” said North Iowa Head Coach Doug Aukes. “It was a great experience for her, and it will help her become a better bowler in the future.”
