Basketball teams play three consecutive nights

The North Iowa basketball teams played three games in three days last week, as winter weather wreaked havoc on their schedule. The school week didn’t get started until Thursday, Jan. 31, when the basketball teams headed to Britt to take on West Hancock.

The North Iowa varsity girls lost their match in Britt by a score of 24-77.

Head Coach Matt Harriman says it was a tough game. “Coming off three snow days and no practice time, you could tell we were a little out of sync,” said Harriman.

"We got off to a slow start offensively, and West Hancock was able to turn us over a bunch to convert easy buckets. Against good teams, you have to execute and take care of the ball; otherwise it will be a long night,” said the coach.

Katelin Adams scored 12 points for the Lady Bison, followed by Hannah Boekelman with five. Adams also led in rebounds with nine.
