The North Iowa varsity basketball teams opened their 2022 schedule last Tuesday, Jan. 4, as they hosted an evening of conference games with Lake Mills.
In the girls’ match, the Bulldogs had a couple of big quarters in the middle part of the game, as they defeated the Lady Bison, 53-31. North Iowa’s Miriam Beenken led all scorers in the game with 18 points, and she also led in rebounds with 14. Leah Kramersmeier scored seven points for North Iowa, followed by Ashlyn Bechler and Aisha Jobe with three points each.
