“It’s a Wonderful Life” this weekend

North Iowa High School ushers in the holiday season this weekend, with its fall play production of the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

 

Charles Wycoff stars as George Bailey, and Thomas Blodgett stars as Clarence – George’s guardian angel who shows a desperate George what the world would have been like if he had never existed. The play is based on the 1946 movie starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.

 

Shows will be held Friday and Saturday evenings, Nov. 17 and 18, at 7 p.m., and admission at the door is $5.

 

Other members of the cast include: John Lentz as Mr. Gower, Danessa Bruner as Young George, Jeron Koppen as Harry Bailey, Jordan Ostrander as Mother Bailey, Rebekah Jensvold as Aunt Tilley, Naddie Myer as Violet Peterson, John Lentz as Bert, Jeremy Dirksen as Ernie, Ben Hassebroek as Uncle Billy, Krista Schutter as Mary Hatch, and Joey Goetz as Henry Potter.

 

Additional roles include MacKenzy Jensvold as Mr. Potter’s Goon, Esther Shortenhaus as Mr. Potter’s Secretary, William Jensvold as Sam Wainwright, Sierra Billick as Miss Andrews, Samantha Davis as Mrs. Thompson, William Jensvold as Mr. Martini, Hannah Main as Mrs. Martini, Rachel Schutter as Miss Carter, Esther Shortenhaus as Newspaper Girl, Danessa Bruner as Petra Bailey, Samantha Stenersen as Tami Bailey, Esther Shortenhaus as Janie Bailey, Amelia Blodgett as Zuzu Bailey, and Jeron Koppen as Mr. Welch.
